Other monuments like Lighthouse and Arctic Research base received more extensive upgrades, which includes a whole lot of new lights, that will make the monuments significantly brighter during nighttime and more atmospheric during daytime. This includes changes such as adding darkening volumes to interiors, adding new ambient lights and enabling interior lights during the daytime. Some of the newer monuments like Fishing Villages, Stables and Excavator received only minor updates. The degree of improvements varies depending on the monument. This month we have focused mainly on the monuments such as Lighthouse, Fishing Villages, Stables, Excavator, Arctic Research Base and Airfield. We have continued improving the lighting setup for our monuments. As usual, achievements can only be earned on official servers. Unfortunately they haven’t kept up with the amount of new content added to the game every month so I’ve made a set of 18 new achievements to earn. Since launching out of early access in 2018 Rust’s achievements have served as a way for new players to learn the basics of the game. We’ll be improving the generation of these over time to connect more monuments, as well as exploring ways for players to place their own ziplines in the future. Colliding with anything solid while on the line will also knock you off the line, this includes trees, players and vehicles, so use with care. You can speed up on the line by holding forward and jump off at anytime with the jump key (just be careful of the drop!). Once at the top, you can use the zipline to travel to another platform further along the chain of powerlines or to nearby monuments. To access the zipline you’ll need to climb to the top of the new platforms that are attached to some powerlines. Powerlines have had an upgrade this month, with new platforms and ziplines now appearing across procedurally generated maps. In the near future, you can expect driveable above-ground trains. Please report any weird looking areas you might encounter. This is just a tech test / proof of concept for now, so there’s no official gameplay element to it yet. The first iteration of the procedural rail network is now live! Any map size 4250 or larger should have a single railway in the shape a ring going around the entire island. A lot of other changes have also been released today on PC, and you can find the complete patch notes listed below: However, some important tweaks have been made, and gamers will want to see them. Meanwhile, the console edition of Rust has only seen a small number of bug fixes released today. Rust players have been warned that they will need to climb to the top of these structures to use them, so there will be some danger involved when trying to move across the map. Meanwhile, Facepunch has made it possible to traverse the map using powerlines, complete with new platforms to use them from. Trains have not spawned with it, but gamers can try it out using other non-finished vehicles if they know the correct codes. Facepunch has not released the final version of this system yet, meaning that a few components are missing. The April Rust update for PC makes several big changes to the game, including modifications to how zip lines work, and access to a new train line system for maps over a certain size. This will allow for smaller groups to have an easier time settling a home.13872 Rust April Patch Notes For PC and Console Edition With the extra space, players should have more terrain to explore and build bases. Some weekly and monthly servers will start using 3km map seeds to generate their worlds. Rust: Console Edition maps are now bigger. However, the update will require a blueprint wipe on all servers. The research table will still be available, so players will now have multiple options for progress. Instead of spending scrap on a random tiered blueprint, players can now choose which blueprints that unlock. This system fundamentally changes the way players progress in Rust. Included in the Devastation Unleashed update for Rust: Console Edition is the new tech tree.
